Best hostel I have stayed at in all of the U.S.!! Clean safe and great location!
The staff was friendly and accommodating! Sophia Jodi and the housekeeper made sure my stay was awesome! Was very impressed by this place .. all the other guest were very friendly and eager to hang out and explore the city together! Anyone looking for an inexpensive place to stay this is the place! The food around the hostel is crazy good! Will most definitely be back !!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet, clean and very unique. Very close to great restaurants and coffee shops. I felt completely safe. It was great to be 4 blocks from my daughter and so close to everything. The staff are TOP Notch! Very helpful, accessible and super helpful.

I travel to Houston several times a year and I usually spend just one night there. Being that I’m not super sociable, I don’t feel very comfortable sharing a room with strangers and so their private rooms are a blessing. They’re not only affordable but the hostel is conveniently located not too far from downtown right in the Midtown area. I have never have issues checking in or during my stay. I highly recommend Wanderstay if you’re traveling on a budget either if you don’t mind sharing a room or if you want a room on your own.

The lobby smelled so good when we entered and Ioved the cozy feel. I also loved the clean rooms and big beds. There was also a kitchen upstairs that was super accessible. We were 2 women traveling and we felt very safe in this area walking to and from!

Wanderstay Houston Hostel was everything I hoped for and more! The vibe is friendly and laid-back, and the staff made me feel like part of the family. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and full of character. Perfect location, great people—I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Houston!

Had a great visit to Wanderstay Houston Hostel. Great conversation, and met people visiting from all over the world. As always, the facility was well maintained (just a temporary issue with entering through the front door due to a recent storm, though the side door worked fine and it was still possible to exit through the front). Shower was nice and hot, and the bed was quite comfortable.

Cozy little hostel in a nice location. The staff was really friendly and helpful and i liked the big beds. Also you can park there for free.
However there are some things that i need to criticize:
1) There were like 2 sockets in the whole room for 4 people. They are really low on the wall so if you have an upper bed you can't charge your phone over night.
2) My towel and bed sheet had stains and was ripped on several spots.
3) The door code just got changed without informing me in any way. If there hadn't been other people in my room at that time i would have been locked out.

I booked it the same day and didn’t realize there was a form I had to fill out before being automatically expected so this was a bit of a surprise for me since most hostels don’t operate like that. My anxiety wore off quick since the email was answered quickly and the form was only a 1-2 minute process with the hardest part being attaching a photo of my license to the form. Once inside it was a very clean and up to date hostel . More than one bathroom Great ac for August huge bed not the standard twin bunks in a hostel. Neighborhood looked sketchy but I left my rental car out front in the street no issues and got going to where I needed no problem Was a quiet neiborhood . Overall a 9/10 experience
