Operating for 30 years with NO social media !!! Should tell you all you need to know. Amazing food. No it’s not a fancy or spruced up Asian fusion place.. it’s old school and refreshing because the flavor is out of this world. Best dim sum are the little hole in the wall places and this one is it!! My whole meal was under $40 and check out all I got!

The food here always seems so Fresh, and freshly prepared. I have tried a different dish pretty much every time and I have not been disappointed. I truly love their egg drop soup. One of the best I have ever had. My wife does not even like egg drop soup and now she eats some of mine every time. Some of the items I have tried are bourbon chicken, Szechuan chicken, Szechuan steak, and Mongolian beef. I always order than with vegetables. I have been very impressed. I highly recommend this family owned and operated restaurant.
Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

I was impressed with what they served its amazing food the service is awesome and a lot of options for dim sum (the only one I don’t like is the chicken feet it’s too much food color ) other than that everything is great love the duck

This used to be the top dim sum in the Tampa Bay Area. I’ve noticed a few of the most popular dishes needs a little bit of tweaking. Xiu Mai as well as the fried turnip cake is dry. If these 2 dishes can be fixed, I believe the restaurant will regain a lot of their customers. New dim sum places have popped up and have overstepped Ho Ho only because they’ve managed to make these two dishes extra tasty 😉

AMAZING! Great food, we ordered fish, chicken with vegetables and rice paste with beef! Very authentic Chinese and it’s not greasy, it actually tastes healthy and delicious. It’s not the same taste of every Chinese restaurant in the area. Great job and plenty of tables to seat!

This is legit, made on site, Dim Sum. I've had dim sum in top areas including London, Vancouver, New York, DC, Toronto and am very familiar with it. A lot of places bring in premade product and steam them (that's why there's such consistency across different places), but not here. This is clearly made on site and original. I ordered a wide array of dishes and they were all great. I would highly recommend the Ho Ho Choy to anyone who enjoys authentic dim sum.

The only thing I personally prefer is the Hong Kong type of springroll vs the Shanghai version I had here. This is a personal preference, however the type served was still very good. Perhaps I missed it on the menu.

The service was friendly and efficient, prices reasonable, and the ambiance was that of what you would expect at all small family type Chinese food establishment.

Service is terrible! I sensed racism! I asked to add an item to my order and asked a question about payment because I wanted to be clear since I was using a company card. The lady in the front went completely crazy on me and even began yelling. I immediately requested a refund! I don’t play about eating food from ppl like that because it’s no telling what she’ll do to it. Also, inside the restaurant smelled like sewage a bit. I’m gonna be calling the health department tomorrow!

I have a long and storied history with Ho Ho Choy's starting in the early 90's and my introduction to Dim Sum. It would be many years before anybody in Tampa produced the quality, variety and authenticity of the food they carry.

I bought a live 2 lb lobster today at the market on Fowler and brought it to Ho Ho's for one of my favorite dishes, Lobster in Spicy Black Bean Sauce on a bed of Pan Fried Noodles. To die for!! I've done the same with live Dungeness Crab, usually in a Ginger Garlic Sauce. This is the only place I know that will cook live crabs or lobster that you bring in from the market. Nothing like handing someone a live lobster and in 10 minutes it's on your table!

They originated on Dale Mabry in the Kmart Plaza next to a bar and a theatre. All long gone by now. There is where I discovered Dim Sum and they still have some of the best out there. It was not till 5-10 years ago that other places finally caught up in variety and quality. 18 years ago, after 16 years on Dale Mabry, Ho Ho's moved to their current location on Fletcher.

The chinese food here is better than most, they offer a huge variety of meals cooked in authentic style. Much better than your corner china food store. They also carry a standard assortment of americanized dishes we are all used to.

Food is super good, the flavors are authentic and I highly recommend you try it. Little secret, ask about seasonal vegetables, many times they are not on the menu, photo below.
