Went here on a Saturday morning. Place was busy and parking not too hard to find.

Nestled in a mostly-rundown area of DTF is this hole-in-the-wall establishment that serves American (and a few Mexican) plates, Chinese and Japanese plates and soup. A very unusual combination, but it works well here because the place was consistently busy while we ate.

Someone comes by and quickly asks what you need and promptly brings you the food. I had their huevos con chorizo plate with pancakes on the side. You can immediately taste the oil from the griddle they've had for the last 15 years. The grease is so prominent and delicious AF! Looking at the cooks, they are very efficient because they have a tray with plates ready to be served.

Overall, such a unique place. The prices are very low for the deliciousness you get. Cash only! All walks of life come here and I highly recommend you come as well!

This place has been here for ages, and I can't believe this was my first time coming here. It's a little underrated hole in the wall in Chinatown Fresno. The staff is friendly. I went around lunchtime, and it was pretty busy. It had 7 small tables that sat about 4 people each, and there were about 7 or 8 stools at their counter. Almost all seats were occupied, which made me feel like we chose the right spot to have lunch! The food is great, big portions and very tasty. They have breakfast and Chinese food lunch options. I tried the ham omelet, and it sat on top of hashbrowns. My plate cost about $10. It was very cheap compared to other cafes I've been to in town and the price was worth it! Give this place a try if you don't mind being in the hood.

Great place, been around for 40+ yrs in a very old part of town. Few colorful characters on surrounding streets. Food was good, price was good. Lots of memories over the years. First time I've ordered a cheeseburger. Big portion. Fries just right. Delicious. Coffee was hot. $17 two meals and a coffee

This place is super delicious 85/90% of the time, the prices are right and the service is good. 10-15% of time it is still above average. The pancakes have a great crispness and the chowmein has the best noodles in Fresno. For the random once in a while time it is not as good is usually towards closing, and things I have noticed is pancake having other food flavors cuz grill wasn’t scrubbed enough and chicken being kinda rubbery.

This place is a gem hidden in Chinatown. It is my favorite place to grab breakfast and lunch. It makes you feel at home and the informality of it makes it really special. The grill sits 5 feet away from you and “pops” (that’s what regulars call him) turns around and asks “do you want an egg on top?”. My fiancé asked me where I wanted to eat for my birthday, I said Ho Ho Kafe. “Momma” (that’s also what regulars call her) is the sweetest lady and her children are really attentive. I was working abroad for 2 years, came back and she remembered me. This is where I wanna spend my money. The food is fantastic and inexpensive, large portions, good bang for the buck. People criticize the dirtyness and that the walls are dirty and what not. If you’re looking for something posh this is not the spot. If you’re looking for something homey, this is the spot. The fridge full of sodas, veggies, meats and random stuff give it a unique atmosphere and it’s always popping, especially on weekends. I have never written a review before, this is my first and probably my last. Just wanted to show my appreciation for what this place means to me.
