The hotel has immense potential once they rennovate. The lobby looks very nice. The bar has nice decor and amazing views of the Mississippi River, but it isn't open. The meeting rooms are more than adequate for the area. The pool needs lots of work. The pool bar is added value once the pool is operational.

Where do I start! We were booked here via travel company. On arrival didn’t seem like anyone was staying! car park had a couple of work mens trucks then us. It smelt old and closed up in the check in area. We were given our room headed down the corridor with minimal lighting and poor air conditioning. Proceeded to our room to be greeted with a continuous beeping from the smoke detector in the seating area. Then in the bedroom area the smoke detector was on the floor with the wires hanging out of the unit base. Returned to check in! Was given another room on the same floor. That wasn’t much better. The fridge was fit for the tip! The safe had Old batteries in it which leaked into the safe!!! The smoke detector wasn’t even there in this room. Went to phone reception for soap and towels etc only to find there wasn’t even a wire connecting the phone! Alarm bells ring bigtime! Bar, restaurant was closed. Where do I start with the swimming pool ? Or shall I say swamp!!!!!!! |This hotel should not be open for business! We wanted to leave there and then but it’s was late!! First thing in the morning we left asap and booked into another hotel. Travel company are now aware, we are awaiting feedback ?

The hotel is in absolute shambles, stains everywhere even on the sheets, room was not cleaned, toilet a mess towels from the last guest left, the pool, the grounds, everything is disgusting! No, drinking water, no restaurant, service desk is empty every time I went, they say they are going thru a renovation, but this place needs to be closed to do so, it’s a real shame this place use to be the cream of the crop 10 years ago when I first stayed there, paying for this experience was the worst thing I’ve done in a long time, the website never states anything about how the pool, restaurant, work out rooms and all amenities are closed, Ido hope this hotel is restored to it’s former glory and high class, but whoever is in charge of this hotel taking people’s money while also trying to renovate it should be ashamed of themselves

I highly recommend not staying at this hotel. The photos on their website do not reflect the state of the hotel. The pool and hot tub are green, slimy and half way full (with no sign indicating it was closed or anything). The elevator didn’t work (with no out of order sign). The couch in my room had a giant stain on the seat. The air conditioning was out in the lobby and hallways. Barely any cars were there, so it seemed like a ghost town. I did not feel completely safe or clean. ||One perk is that I learned to read reviews before booking a hotel!

Das Hotel ist in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Im Zimmer roch es nach Schimmel. Das WC war schmutzig und auf dem Sofa hatte es einen grossen Flecken. Wir haben Zimmer mit Frühstück gebucht und auch entsprechend dafür bezahlt. Seit 2 Jahren wird das aber gemäss einer Angestellten nicht mehr angeboten. Es gibt also kein Frühstück mehr. Der Boden, Teppich, wurde seit längerer Zeit nicht mehr gereinigt. Die Klimaanlage im Hotel funktioniert nicht mehr. Es ist im Gebäude wärmer als draussen. Der Pool wurde in den letzten Jahren nicht mehr gereinigt. Es schwimmen Tiere darin herum und das Wasser ist dunkelgrün. Die Poolbar ist auch in einem verlotterten Zustand.

DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. I cannot express how horrible our experience was.

On August 22nd, I booked a room through the hotel website for today, September 20th. I received a confirmation email, with a confirmation number and phone number to call for questions and concerns. I received no further communication from the hotel. My card was apparently charged.

I arrived at the hotel around 1 AM, with my infant in my arms, to be told by the man at the front desk, "Every room is under renovation, and we are not accepting guests tonight."

There were no signs of renovation whatsoever, the main doors were open and functioning, the television in the lobby was on, and there seemed to be guests coming and going out of the hotel. But the man at the desk repeatedly insisted that he could not give me a room, as they were renovating the entire hotel and there were no guests.

I provided my confirmation number and was told that my reservation had been cancelled on September 8th. I did not cancel my reservation, and I never received a phone call, email, or even text message saying that my reservation had been cancelled. We had nowhere else to go and no backup plan.

I asked the man at the desk for the phone number of someone to call, and the number he scrawled on the back of a slip of paper just rang endlessly. I called the number in my reservation, which also rang endlessly. I asked the man at the desk to get in contact with his manager, and he laughed, saying, "I'm not going to disturb him for reservation issues."

Thank God there were rooms at a nearby Holiday Inn Express. Otherwise we would have been stranded and sleeping in a car with an infant.

So to reiterate: if you want to be certain that you have a room to sleep in and bare-minimum customer service, do yourself a favor and reserve a room at the Holiday Inn Express.

the bed was hard and rust everywhere. Do not even go to the pool area. Green slime in the pool and jacuzzi. Very Green. Front lobby was very hot and the person in the front was never there. i have to ask for a Blow Dryer because there was not dryer in the room. I also had to ask for more towels.

Crazy place- DO NOT STAY! The hotel car park was large and had 5 cars total, 3 construction trucks and 2 small regular cars. It appeared there might be no other guests than us- assuming the two cars belonged to staff. We went inside and found a very odd man at reception, he appeared to be the only employee in the building. He proceeded to inform us there would be no breakfast, and no food or drinks that evening as the restaurant and bar on site were closed and there was nothing on offer nearby. We asked about the pool and he laughed and said “you mean the pond- you can check it out in the morning if you like”. He shared the hotel was undergoing a renovation. He then proceeded to escort us to our 2 rooms because as we learned, our friends were not going to have their own room key and that this man would need to let them in every time they left due to some machine issue. It felt very unsafe and we were incredibly uncomfortable.

We arrived on our floor and it was immediately apparent that this hotel was not being maintained. We have pictures to support everything that follows. The carpets and walls were filthy, there were holes in the roof. Our room door was smeared with dirt, the lights didn’t work and the wallpaper was peeling and had black mould underneath. There were no covers on the duvet, no bedskirt and the bathroom had stains everywhere. The furniture was old, dirty and dated. The 5 of us convened and immediately agreed we could not stay there. We gathered our stuff and headed back to the car. We advised the man at reception that we felt unsafe and unable to stay there and he said “I understand”. He confirmed the only people staying were 3 construction workers who were also the people doing the renovation.

As 5 women we felt unsafe.
